West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan [PDF, 13.5MB] was made (adopted) on 22 September 2022.
The West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan as made now forms part of the development plan for South Cambridgeshire. All planning decisions in the neighbourhood area will need to comply with the development plan (that now includes the Neighbourhood Plan), unless material considerations indicate otherwise.
Neighbourhood area designated
On 17 November 2015 the Planning Portfolio Holder designated the West Wickham neighbourhood area.

Strategic Environmental Assessment / Habitat Regulations Assessment screening
South Cambridgeshire District Council and West Wickham Parish Council have undertaken a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) screening of the draft West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan.

Pre-submission consultation (Regulation 14)
West Wickham Parish Council carried out public consultation on the draft (pre-submission) West Wickham Neighbourhood Planfrom 1 May to 30 June 2021.
Submission public consultation (Regulation 16)
West Wickham Parish Council submitted the West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents to South Cambridgeshire District Council for its parish on 3 December 2021.
A public consultation on the submission version of the Neighbourhood Plan was carried out between 18 January and 15 March 2022.

Examination (Regulation 17)
West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan was submitted for examination on 17 March 2022. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination was Andrew Freeman.
The final Examiner's Report was received on 31 May 2022.

Referendum
The Director for Planning agreed to proceed to referendum in June 2022, and the referendum on the West Wickham Neighbourhood Plan took place on 11 August 2022.
The results of the referendum were:
- Yes votes: 98 (91.59%)
- No votes: 9 (8.41%)
- Turnout: 30.48%
