Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan was made (adopted) on 22 May 2025 [PDF, 8.5MB].
The Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan as made now forms part of the development plan for South Cambridgeshire. All planning decisions in the neighbourhood area will need to comply with the development plan (that now includes the Neighbourhood Plan), unless material considerations indicate otherwise.
Neighbourhood area designated
On 29 March 2018 the Planning Portfolio Holder designated the Pampisford neighbourhood area.

Strategic Environmental Assessment / Habitat Regulations Assessment screening
South Cambridgeshire District Council and Pampisford Parish Council have undertaken a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) screening of the draft Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan.

Pre-submission consultation (Regulation 14)
Pampisford Parish Council carried out a public consultation on the draft (pre-submission) Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan from 9 October to 19 November 2023.
Submission public consultation (Regulation 16)
Pampisford Parish Council submitted the Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents to South Cambridgeshire District Council on 21 June 2024.

Examination (Regulation 17)
Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan was submitted for examination on 15 October 2024. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination was Andrew Ashcroft.
The final Examiner's Report was received on 6 January 2025.

Referendum
The Director for Planning agreed to proceed to referendum in February 2025, and the referendum on the Pampisford Neighbourhood Plan took place on 8 April 2025.
The results of the referendum were:
- Yes votes: 81 (98.78%)
- No votes: 1 (1.22%)
- Turnout: 31.66%
